Do the Giants draft a killer WR?

Ooh, I better watch what I ask...our last star WR was pretty dangerous with a handgun.

So where do the Giants look? Wide Receiver, Linebacker, Defensive Back? Any other position I am missing? Kick return specialist in the later rounds?

Is free agency still a viable option? I have read rumors of Boldin, but is he going to help us? Does Tony Gonzales still want to to be a Giant? Are either one of these realistic while we try to sign our running backs?

Is there anyone in the draft or for that matter in the NFL, that could replace Plaxico? I think the golden goose shot himself in the leg and we watched Defenses stop our offense with ease. I say we pray for Plaxico's defense lawyers and hope Plaxico gets his head right.

I like the idea of a shut down corner or a dominant linebacker in the first round. So I ask..Peter, Richard...who's out there to draft?

My few cents:

So where do the Giants look? LB since I think we have quality depth at WR and DB. Hixon needs to be moved back to KR specialist. But, doesn't hurt to draft another speedy WR one. This draft is deep at WR position. Hell, draft two while we're at it so they can all compete for spots. As far as I'm concern, all spots are opened including Tooomer's...

Is free agency still a viable option? Yes, trade for Boldin. We have extra picks from Shockless' deal. Get rid of Plax. At least Boldin practices and hustles harder (the guy came back few days after a broken jaw!). Try to get Gonzales.

Is there anyone in the draft or for that matter in the NFL, that could replace Plaxico? In general, WR rookies take time to develop and learn NFL routes. Remember our WR pick from last year? Hell, I can't even remember his name. So, go back to above question. Get Boldin - He is proven!

I like the idea of a shut down corner or a dominant linebacker in the first round? Yes, LB. Let me do my draft analysis...

Accoring to ESPN, Mel Kiper has us drafting a LB James Laurinaitis out of Ohio State.
