Yahoo! Sports News Reports

The unrestricted free agent period begins Feb. 27, the date when the Giants will learn if they have acquired the New Orleans Saints’ first-round pick (14th overall). The deal that sent TE Jeremy Shockey to the Big Easy included the Saints’ second- and fifth-round picks, but a prior deal in which the Saints acquired MLB Jonathan Vilma from the Jets called for a third-round pick, unless he satisfied certain levels of performance, in which case it would become a second. He did. So what does that have to do with the Giants? The NFL has ruled that if New Orleans has to pay the Jets a second-rounder, the Giants will acquire the first-rounder.

Do the Giants draft a killer WR?

Ooh, I better watch what I ask...our last star WR was pretty dangerous with a handgun.

So where do the Giants look? Wide Receiver, Linebacker, Defensive Back? Any other position I am missing? Kick return specialist in the later rounds?

Is free agency still a viable option? I have read rumors of Boldin, but is he going to help us? Does Tony Gonzales still want to to be a Giant? Are either one of these realistic while we try to sign our running backs?

Is there anyone in the draft or for that matter in the NFL, that could replace Plaxico? I think the golden goose shot himself in the leg and we watched Defenses stop our offense with ease. I say we pray for Plaxico's defense lawyers and hope Plaxico gets his head right.

I like the idea of a shut down corner or a dominant linebacker in the first round. So I ask..Peter, Richard...who's out there to draft?

Our season ending hangover falls on the coaches shoulders...

Our offensive players were not perfect...neither were Philly's. Every blog I read says Gilbride sucks...do what you can to save Spags. Sure I think Spagnuolo is great, but he didn't coach great. He was just good. He has his head interviewing and looking elsewhere. In the meantime, it looks like he got his ass kicked by his mentor.

I think Gilbride has always been mediocre as a play caller, but I expected more from Spagnuolo in those weather conditions. Last I heard and witnessd...DEFENSE wins Championships. Look at the teams remaining. Of the 4 teams, 3 of which their defense outplayed and out schemed to overcome their offenses ups and downs.. Hell Arizona is reiventing themselves on offense and playing great D! Way to adapt to the NFL playofffs.

Gilbride lost his mind with all of those long passes, the QB sneak, and less Jacobs pounding the ball up the MIDDLE. You run the ball in the playoffs (you ass) because it was working.

Spagnuolo got out coached by his mentor. Good luck as a head coach.

See you at the draft.

No love for the Giants...But it just doesn't matter!

They say Philly are the Giants of last year!

It just doesn't matter.

They say we can't win at home.

It just doesn't matter.

EEEEEVEN Tiki Barber says, Phillip Rivers is the QB he likes in the playoffs and he's also picking Philly! Haven't you learned?

That’s just the attitude we don’t need, TIKI. Sure, Philly has beaten us at home. Sure, they’re terrific athletes.

They’ve got the best equipment that money can buy. Hell, every player they’re sending over here has their own personal masseuse. Not masseur. Masseuse.

But, it doesn’t matter.

Do you know that they use the most sophisticated training methods from the Soviet Union, East and West Germany, and the newest Olympic power, Trinidad Tobago.

But, it doesn’t matter. It just doesn’t matter! I tell you it just doesn’t matter! It just doesn’t matter!

And Even...and even if we win...if we win... Ha! Even if we win. Even if we play so far over our heads that our noses bleed for a week to ten days. Even if God in Heaven above comes down and points His hand at our side of the field. Even if everyman woman and child held hands together and prayed for us to win. It just wouldn’t matter because all the media is going to say it was a FLUKE.

It just doesn’t matter It just doesn’t matter! It just doesn’t matter! It just doesn't matter!

AND WHY???? Because THE GIANTS love this US against the WORLD bit! The Giants RISE up to our challengers. We Run JACOBS down their throats. We send Blitz package after blitz package.

Screw Tiki, SCREW SHOCKEY! Let's take these guys and all chant Sunday Night...Suck it Philly ... SUCK IT PHILLY ... SUCK IT PHILLY!

A Scene from Tombstone got me thinking

Pierce: Alright, McNabb…you called down the thunder, well now you've got it! You see that?

[points to Westbrook lying on the ground in pain after an 8 yard loss]

Pierce: It says don’t run this way…

McNabb: [terrified, pleading] Please, I…

Tuck: [referring to Westbrook lying in pain] Take a good look at him, McNabb... 'cause that's how you're going to end up!

[shoves Runyon aside on his way back to the huddle]

Pierce: The Cowboys are finished, you understand? I see a blue star or a green helmet, I run over the man wearing it!

Tuck: So try to run to this side, or try to run it to Kiwi’s side! Tell all the others the pain train’s coming!

Pierce: [shouts] You tell them Big Blue's coming... and the pain train’s coming with me, you hear?

Pierce: [shouts louder] Big Blue is coming with me!

Looking at the background of this blog...

All I can say is...We have a lot of balls. And low and behold they are blue!
