Just when you think things couldn't get any worse...and the Giants post a doughnut in Carolina. Much like Giants teams of the past - they seem to play down to their competition and make and average quarterback look like a pro bowler. At least Cam Newton didn't look like such a douche bag pulling out his superman pose this year. It helps to be winning. I wish the Play60 kid were here to talk some trash.
As far as the Giants go...whew. That was rough. Really rough. So rough it became comical towards halftime. At least the bar had the YES Network so we could watch the tribute to Mariano Rivera. (A small victory in what can only be described as a bad sports day)
Is anyone else worried about the contract the Giants gave to Will Beatty? With as bad as he looks - David Diehl may be a welcome site. I guess the Giants finally got a taste of their own medicine watching Carolina have so much success rushing only 4 players.
Now it's off to Kansas City. After starting 3 of 4 on the road - it sure would be nice for the Giants to steal one for their first victory. I'm not too optimistic considering the last time they played Andy Reid - the Giants hung 42 on the board. I get the sense that he's the type of coach that doesn't forget stuff like that.
All I can say to all the Giants haters out there: At least we've won 2 Superbowls in the last 6 years. What has your team done recently.
Crickets. (As in the sound of silence).
