Who Would Have Thought

Who would have thought that after week 2 of the NFL season, after two weeks of division rivals, the NY Giants would have:

-The 5th best passing QB in the league.
-The 3rd and 4th best recievers in the league.
-The most field goal points in the league. (yeah, I know this one's not so exciting)
-The 5th best passing defense in the league. BEAST!
-The 27th best rushing defense league....WAIT...WHAT DID I SAY? 27th? Well you know that number is not going to last long with our big front seven.

Either way, I know it's way too early in the season. I just hope this is a sign of things to come.

New York Giants Fans Tailgate in Lot 13!

Hello, sports fans it's week two of the 2009 NFL season . Most of The Famous Big Blue DFW Crew will not be watching the game at the Cape Buffalo this week. We will be in Arlington, TX as early as they let us in Lot 13 off Sanford Dr. for a tailgate of tailgates when our New York Football Giants play The Tarrant County Cowboys. You heard me...Lot 13.

Don't miss former UCF player/mascot Dru Feger sign autographs and tell stories of Orlando football yesteryear. Don't miss former OU grappler and tailgate MMA Jumal Winter. Former QB Michael "Omaha" Salisbury of the Mineral Wells will be there taking pictures with all fans.

Un-Bear-able...

The game itself was absolute garbage - and I'm not sure what made it worse:

1. The two morticians that called the game.

or

2. The fact that I removed myself from all sports so I didn't know that outcome of the game until it was on replay.

The 2nd one is completely my own stupidity. I blame no one but myself.

But the first one...good grief. Those two did their best to make it seem like the Bears were the 2nd coming. I mean - if they could have walked on water - they would have. I guess if my team were living in 1985 - I would be pretty damn excited about a preseason game too.

The only shining light on the entire game - for me - was the fact that Brandon Jacobs completely ran over their beloved Urlacher....twice!

Giants vs Da Bears: PreSeason Game 2

Since the Giants game wasn't televised on national TV last night, most of us didn't get to see it. Thanks to NFL network, the game is being replayed this evening (Sunday) at 6pm. Several of us will be gathering at Cape Buffalo in Addison to watch the game, as usual. Come on out if you feel like watching some NY Giants football.

Game: Giants vs. Bears
Location: Cape Buffalo in Addison (Right off the Tollway and Trinity Mills)
Time: Sunday, 6pm

Is Pre-Season Really Worth Anything?

To answer that question with simply one word:

Yes.

Or should I say it with two?

Hell Yes!

You see - while the starters may only play one series - it's that time of year where we can all get together and watch Giants football...period. Who's going to win the back up QB position? The 3rd string RB? How about LBs? Even more interesting...what about our WRs?

Come wonder with the rest of us:

New York Giants News

Supposedly, there are three teams still seriously interested in Burress: the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears. A source close to Burress said the receiver would like to play for the Jets so that he could "stick it to the Giants," who released him in April.

"Stick it the Giants"! Lay off the pipe Plax...the last we heard the Giants wanted to support you, keep you on the team, and restructure your contract in your favor regardless of jail time. You my friend are a moron of the highest caliber...no pun intended.

Let's hear everyone's "Stick it to" Plaxico jokes!
