26TH NAME ADDED TO 2010 HALL OF FAME LIST

BIG BLUE DFW PRESS WRITERS

DALLAS (BBDFW) - In football news today, the old timers committee has decided to add a 26th name to the Hall Of Fame ballot for the Class of 2010.

"Jungle" Drew Feger (pictured right) played in the inaugural season for the Giants in 1925. At the time he was the highest paid defensive lineman/kicker bringing home a whopping $100 per year.

Upon Internet research, BBDFW has found a quote from a local news anchor stating:

"Listen see. He was lean and mean and everything in between. The bees knees! Speaking of knees, he was the inventor of the chop block! That's right! I said it here first kids...the chop block. Watch it! He may hit you below the bread basket with his patent jungle chop block! Ouch that's smart!"

In light of the recent news, the Giants would like to retire his number but official stats have not been discovered and team officials don't remember his number.

More news to come on this developing story.

Brandon Jacobs......damn you....

How am I supposed to stay mad at you after this comment.....

"It's the biggest play of my career," Jacobs said of taking a short pass from Eli Manning and going 74 yards for a touchdown that put the Giants in front to stay. "It's extra special against Dallas. That's absolutely a team I can't stand. I've been hating Dallas ever since I knew anything about football."

Sweet music to my ears....

As I Sit In A Deer Blind...

I can't help but think about a few things...

1. What the hell is wrong with the Giants?

2. We had better knock Romo on his ass tomorrow...a lot.

3. It's 22 degrees here and I'm posting in compete darkness.

4. At this point in the season...can I out run Brandon Jacobs?

5. What would Phil McConkey do?

6. Hell...could SteveNYC fix the Giants?

7. Is anyone else thoroughly amused by McGooch?

8. As much as I make fun of those snuggie commercials...I could probably use one right now.

9. For that matter, I could go for some hot chocolate and peppermint scnapps.

10. Can Lawrence Taylor still play?

If you can read this...and the stats say you don't! But for those who can...come out and join us at Cape Buffalo. Hell...bring the kiddos too!

New York Giants

Dear New York Giants Bloggers and Posters:

I would like to give thanks for Kevin Gilbride and I truly believe we need to be less critical of Kevin Gilbride.

Now wait...wait before you post something mean or go to another blog. If we keep calling him Killdrive and say his play calling is horrible or predictible... we will never get rid of him.
Richard, you will need to dig down deep with this.

Instead, we should say how inventive he is with an offense! How Gilbride of all people, deserves to be a head coach. How he can turn around any team in the league like Buffalo and add a 1-2 punch to a team that has been struggling like Buffalo. I am just saying... How he can mix up the pass with the run and throw in a play action once in a while. Keep teams off balance. Heh heh.

We need to say how horrible it would be to lose him... especially to another New York team! Oh no...not a NewYork team!!! That would be horrrrrible.

C'mon Giants fans...keep hope alive! Whether you are writing on blogs, calling into sports talk shows, at the water cooler, or in a bar like Cape Buffalo in Addison, Texas. We just need to show to the NFL powers to be that we somehow hope he feels a sense of team and stays with us forever and ever. Richarrrrd.

If we can band together as one... united with this effort... you will see another offensive coordinator next year! Look we don't want to scare off any potential suitors that may have him on a short list that wish to wisk him away from us...now do we???

So think before you sink Killdrive...I mean Gilbride. Thank you.

So Good Luck Giants Fans and Happy Thanksgiving!

Yours Truly,

Mac McNamara

Sorry Jacobs......

Okay, so I was getting a little hyper-critical of Brandon Jacobs lately. Then, this week, we heard Mike Garafolo of the NJ Ledger report that Brandon Jacobs lack of dominance has been due to bad coaching calls.

Tonight I read the following transcipts from RB coach Jerald Ingram:

http://www.giants.com/news/transcripts/story.asp?story_id=43707

I don't understand how it took the coaching staff 8 games to realize that Brandon Jacobs isn't Derrick Ward and shouldn't be used in the same capacity. What a disappointment!

Now, here is something to consider. Jacobs knows these plays weren't designed for him. Yet for the last 8 weeks he hasn't said one word about bad coaching. He has sucked it up and kept his mouth SHUT in regards to dogging the team. He ignored the media or spent his time being pissed off at reporters for doubting him. I don't agree with Jacobs idle threats of big games and trash talking. But I can admire a player who doesn't throw others under the bus while his lackluster play making abilities are being called out.

Sorry about that big man.

Giants draft pick.....an EAGLE?

With all the secondary injuries it looks like the Filthadelphia Eagles have decided to take a chance on Stoney Woodson, the Giants 7th round draft pick. Woodson was cut from the team during training camp.

I know this happens all the time, but I'll be so pissed if this guy turns out to be good and we got stuck with CC Brown. Yes, I know they're different positions. But I still hate it when we cut somebody and they excel on another team.
