Happy Trails
Tis the off season of our discontent, every year during the time between now and Sep.. we sit around (ass cheeks clenched) hoping, no praying that our favorite players don't get cut/traded. Being that we cheer for BIGBLUE, we are smarter than the typical fan.... So far Jacobs and Manningham have fallen under the guillotine of circumstance.... But lets see if the Jmall can make it better with a little chicken soup for the soul... First Manningham.... he did show up big in the playoffs... but lets be real, was it because he did any thing different than in years past? Or was it the fact that given the choice of who to focus on... Nicks, Cruz, or Manningham? I personally feel disappointed by Mario through his first seasons... if you know me then you know that when BIGBLUE drafted him, I rode his jock like Seabiscuit... So, while he can stand out now, Crabtree wouldnt sniff the field at GIANTS stadium, so I believe he'll (Mario)revert back to a 3rd, 4th type receiver that he really is..... As for Mr. Jacobs, I love the man. His fire, his in your face style, his bravado and machismo makes this loss harder to take... But remember peeps... Even though some claim that the GIANTS are a pass first team, The slide didn't occur until Bradshaw missed games with injury. And during this time the big man had the perfect stage to display the skill and heart to show us all that he deserves all the $ he was bitching about... But instead, loss after loss after loss, until Bradshaw returned to the lineup. Now while the big fella was pivotal in an untarnished cowboy stadium win loss record..... It really isn't all that hard to say goodbye to yesterday... I'm not hating on these guys, hell I love em... just, I believe that they are easily replaced.... Yes I said it.... So lets trust in the front office, and let the championship sun nurture our faces, pump up our chests and add fuel to the retorts we deliver to the fans of the other 31 teams in the league..... ......................... Jmall..

Giants want Coby Fleener
Sorry Peter, my money is against that plan due to a weak Tight End draft year, Mel Kiper predicted it, the Giants were seen at Fleener's pro day and the Giants draft best value on the board regardless of need. I was hoping you would have sold me on your pick, but we got NADA! I am an easy sale. Any thoughts?
I see a Running Back or Defensive Back in our future. Since the Giants do not fear taking the fallen potential #1 pick slipping due to off the field issues... don't be surprised to see another player slip to the Giants at #32 ( DB Janoris Jenkins).
Let's face it would you be surprised if the Giants take another Defensive End? Well, unless half the other 31 teams draft every Defensive End in sight. This is a copy cat league and our New York Giants are Super Bowl Champions!
I wonder how many Defensive Ends get drafted in the first round?
Who do you think the Giants draft? The Giants never fail to shock and awe. Someone post the video of JPP's draft year.

New York Giants a Pass First Team?
It just doesn't seem right saying that! However, I just heard the Giants had the lowest yards per rush in the NFL for 2011. What happened to run first and a ground attack?
So that compounded with Victor Cruz's amazing 1,536 yards receiving this season and for the first time two New York Giants receivers had more than a 1,000 yards receiving in a season, the Giants are all about the pass.
The days of bad ass Linebackers and Running backs (old Giant school of building a team) hogging the headlines during free agency were vacant... This year, Wide Receivers ran amuck with monster contracts in Free Agency.
If this trend continues, new all time leaders will take the record board and some (rushing leader) may not be broken for years.
Passing Leader (all-time): Phil Simms - 33,462 yards
Rushing Leader (all-time): Tiki Barber - 10,449 yards
Receiving Leader (all-time): Amani Toomer - 9,497 yards

Brandon Jacobs Victim of the Salary Cap
The NY Giants are moving money one way or another. Eli restructured his contract to move $6.75 million off this years cap. Now Brandon Jacobs was released to free up $5.0 million. His total cap hit would have been $7 million due to signing, roster and work out bonuses plus salary of $4.9 million.
Brandon Jacobs will always be remembered by Big Blue DFW for leveling the Washington Redskins Safety LaRon Landry and hating the Dallas Cowboys (boy he hated that Stadium Play Clock). He was always super pumped up versus the Dallas Cowboys. Big Blue DFW, loved his leadership and hard nose attitude towards the Division rival here in Dallas, TX.

Grand Opening Celebration for Mimi's Pizzeria.
Okay okay. I know this isn't NY Giants related but I'm all for helping out a BigBlueDFW family member. Mimi's Pizzeria is a local Italian family restaurant owned by the family of BigBlueDFW's Benny. Tomorrow is their grand opening (Feb. 21st) and they're celebrating with 50% off all pizza pies. I'm sure there will be several members of BigBlueDFW there throughout the day. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, tomorrow is a great opportunity. Bring a coworker for lunch, or stop by for dinner and grab a pie. Email drew(at)BigBlueDFW.com if you're looking for some company. I'll join you and we can continue the NY Giants celebration party. Check out http://mimispizzeriadallas.com for more info on the restaurant. Hope to see you there.

Damn it feels good to be a champion!!
Well the Jmall's back from the bloggers abyss... Sorry I haven't blessed you readers with the usual weekly prose but the G-Men started winning after I stopped posting... But now the 2011 season is over and its now time to look forward to seeing our beloved GIANTS defend that holiest of holy sports championship.... The mother loving Super Bowl!!!
First of all.... THE GIANTS ARE THE CHAMPS!!!!!!!!!..... sorry it'll be a while till that's out of my system.... Now..... Thank you BIGBLUEDFW... thank you for showing up every Sunday, thanks for showing the kind of enthusiasm expected from a proper GIANTS fan(towards the end there, the bandwagoners posted, but its the same with every team so W.T.F... what can you do?)... Thankyou to the people from Buffalo Joe's for hosting our awesome group.... The bugs will get worked out as bugs usually do... But the GIANTS won so as far as it goes for me... it was perfect!!!
Now with this victory I have nothing but sunshine and happy endings, so please excuse the lack of wit. If any of you thought that the GIANTS were going to win the Super Bowl after week 12, then to you I say... quit your bull shitting.... at that point of the season I believe we were all clinging to outside hope and desperate wishing... But once in the play offs, near to full health, why the hell not?... The point being.... when other fan groups tend to fade when the forecast is bleak... our BIGBLUE brothers and sisters, stayed the course and showed up, with bated breath, but showed we did.... all I can say to an outsider is.... "That's just how we do it".... Special thanks to my boy Drew for being our ambassador, meeting and greeting every newcomer with that million dollar smile. That takes a special kind of person to shoulder that responsibility. As for the season.... well you were there and you know what happened. Me personally, I believed that once Bradshaw returned, the GIANTS would start their winning ways... but thats just me. For every run, this season... even those bonehead draw plays on third and 15+... every thing counted... every thing led to something else that ultimately led to victory... So step off Gilbrite's nut sac.... thats all.... I'm out, .... Im going to miss the shit out of our crew....
Jmall...
P.S...... I'm calling for an O-lineman with the 32nd pick.... more to come, stay tuned
