New York Giants Fans from Around the World- A Bye Week Note by The Irish Highball

Ladies and gentleman and I use gentlemen loosely...dirty dogs! It was great to see all the Giants Fans from Texas, New York, and New Jersey at the tailgate prior to the game against the Cowboys.

The mood was set right outside the Cowboys home in Arlington. Giants came... Giants saw...Giants conquered ...AGAIN! Eli is 2-0 in the cowboys new home I refer to as the Tarrant County Colosseum. Eli now owns property in Tarrant County, TX. I wonder if he marked his territory a second time?I think I even met the unofficial Governor of the Meadowlands Parking Lot wearing a Giants sports coat and a Giants tie. Good Luck on Election Day! Some Giants fans even read our blog...thank you for your comments. We love the comments.

I also found out Big Blue DFW has hits from all over the World. The WORRRLD! Are they Giants fans? Are they lost? Or are they reading our blog every week like Peter?

Who knows, but I have to say Cheers... Gezondheid... Proost... to the curious readers from Netherlands. We get weekly hits from the Netherlands! Here are the top countries that have viewed www.BigBlueDFW.com:

United States- 2,890
Netherlands- 218
Russia- 79
Luxembourg- 62
Germany- 61
Canada- 47
Madagascar- 2... "All Hail The New York Giants!"

None from Wales... However, I was sent an email from someone in Wales and they wrote all of my friends the following message from me:

I'm writing this with tears in my eyes,my family and I came down here to Wales.United Kingdom for a short vacation unfortunately we were mugged at the park of the hotel where we stayed, all cash, credit card and cell were stolen off us but luckily for us we still have our passports with us.

We've been to the embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves in less than hours from now but having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills,

I'm freaked out at the moment.
-Mac

No, I was never in Wales... I was spammed, infiltrated, the victim of sabotage... However, here are some real life responses to the email that were forwarded to me from my friends, family and fellow Big Blue DFW members:

"I hope you rot in Europe. You should pay me to take you back."

"Is Mac In Wales?"

"Spam?"

"How much do you need? Where do I send the money?"

"Go Big Blue!"

"Bizarre. Didn't sound like Mac but it was just weird enough with the Mac's Irish heritage twist that he MIGHT be over in that general area. It was a stretch but I had to ask."

"Have fun on your trip"

"Just so you know, I would totally send you $5 to assist (but I'd deduct the postage cost first)."

"Take pictures, I love Great Britain this time of year"

"You're Fucked! Love, Dad"

Caption Contest: What Did Michael Boley Say?

What did Michael Boley say when he saw this?

Winner of this caption contest will receive a shot from me (Irish Angry Bastard) at the next Giants game (November 7 at 3:00pm) at Cape Buffalo.

The only rule is: you must post your name in the comments section below. If you want to post an anonymous one for fun - feel free.

bye week blues

So wtf to do this bye week? I could A. start writing my great American novel. B. Go visit Romo in the hospital and give him the jar I farted in when I was eleven(I had planned on giving it to my brother but forgot). C. Get dressed in GIANTS gear, find the biggest cowboy watching party and walk around all chest out and give all those chumps my patented Asshole smile D. Find myself a hot ass woman wearing cowboys gear, charm the pants off her, and in the morning when she realizes shes wearing GIANTS blue, give her my patented Asshole smile and say,"yea baby you got fucked twice."(I've done this move before but with my beloved SOONERS) E. Tie a faggy sweater around my neck and go frolicking in this beautiful fall weather like a fucking muff. F. Wake up on a Sunday and do my usual shit with one exception; I wont get to see my beloved GIANTS put waste to another QB.. Thats right Hasselbeck.. you got two weeks to enjoy the little things you usually take for granted.. like wiping your own ass.. make sure that you give a shout out to Jesus/budda/yaweh/jah/Ala/Shiva... before you do.. our D is gonna get some payback for all the shit your retard brother talks about BIG BLUE.

Well those are just a couple of things I could do on Sunday.. until next time.. GO GIANTS.. and where the heck did I put that sweater?

Pictures are worth thousand words

Thanks to the D Gmen Sal for the photos!

10 Thing You Don't See At The Game:

10 - Stats like this: Steve Smith is the first Giants player since 1988 to have 100+ yards receiving two regular season games against the Cowboys. (Make it 3 in a row).

9 - A slow motion replay of Rich Seubert pancaking Keith Brooking.

8 - Jerry Jones cheering for the cowboys opening touchdown. (Not seeing that is actually a good thing)

7 - Another slow motion replay of Chris Snee pancake blocking Brady James on the Manningham touchdown.

6 - A Brandon Jacobs replay dragging Keith Brooking for 4 extra yards.

5 - A replay of Miles Austin's alligator arms. (I guess Antrel Rolle has loud feet)

4 - Another stat: 47% of Tom Coughlin's on-field calls are overturned on challenges. (highest percentage in NFL history - minimum 30 challenges)

3 - Game stats. ($1.3 Billion Stadium and I can't find how many yards Eli has)

2 - The Michael Boley/Tony Romo sack replay.

And the number 1 thing you won't see at the game:

1 - Jerry Jones in complete shock watching his team get dismantled on national television.

Putting The Nail in Dallas' Coffin

""The Giants planted a Big Blue tombstone in the center of Jerry Jones' crown jewel of a stadium: R.I.P. 2010 Dallas Cowboys.

First they buried Tony Romo, then they buried the Cowboys.

They soared to the top of the NFC East and established themselves as the best the entire NFC has to offer and take a four-game winning streak into the bye week.

They sent a message to Rex Ryan along the lines of "Move over, big boy, we're still here and we're not surrendering the town to you and your Jets anytime soon."

They ushered in the beginning of the end of the Wade Phillips Era and left Cowboys fans doubting that Romo will ever win a Super Bowl.

They rendered obsolete Jones' grand ambition of hosting the Texas Super Bowl.

Regarding to my long time buddy's earlier post on "Peter's Text and Lesson Learned": my bad on interrupting a business call. However, after hearing these immature dumbass comments on "How bout them Rangers" at a football game in which their team is getting their asses kicked with homo-less QB, I maintain my stand: "BTW, FUCK THE RANGERS"!!!

Giants at Cowboys - Monday - 7:30pm

If you're unable to attend the game - you're still welcome to watch it at Cape Buffalo. Since some of us will be at the game - the crowd might be a little lighter than normal.

For those of you that are able to attend the game - there are some details to pass along if you're interested in joining us for the tailgating festivities:

We will be tailgating in Silver Lot 13. (It's Southeast of the Stadium at the corner of Legends Way and Sanford Street). Since we won't know an exact location yet - we should be on the east side of the lot along the grass parking spots...basically the perimeter of the lot. (I've included a parking map below for illustration).

Since we never know how many people to expect - we've decided to make it easy and do a "BYOB" and a "BYOF"...bring your own beer and bring your own food. Basically - if you want to eat something - bring it. If you want to drink something - bring it. We'll have 2 grills there for anyone that wants to use them and probably a fair amount of cooler space too.

Our plan is to be there around 2:00pm (or as soon as they let us in the gate).

So come out and get an early start with the BigBlueDFW crew. It's pretty much a guaranteed good time!

Giants 28 - Lions 20 - I Think That:

- The crowd at Cape Buffalo was the largest we've had...man that's a lot of fun! (for any of the new comers - welcome to the group. I hope you join us again.)
- Ahmad Bradshaw is the man! Some of the cuts he makes are just sick.
- Calvin Johnson show-boating from the 50 yard line really bothered me...have fun playing for a Detroit that's been rebuilding since 1957).
- This just in: CC Brown still sucks.
- What was the Detroit return man thinking when he tried to field a ball clearly going out of bounds...nice of his teammate to nail him as he was going out of bounds. Thanks for saving us a penalty.
- Goff is quietly becoming a nice inside linebacker...props to that guy again.
- If you're an opposing QB watching film on the Giants D - Are you nervous?
- Looks like Osi isn't just satisfied with a normal sack - another strip sack...nice!
- Shayne Graham did a fine job in his 3 days as a Giant. (4-4 on extra points)
- Hopefully two rushing touchdowns for Jacobs will fire him up for next week (keep your mouth shut and keep running hard!)
- Dick's muzika palka's version of "Happy Birthday" and "God Bless America" was awesome!
- Coming down from a jaeger and birthday cake high is rough.
- Looking forward - Is there such a thing as a trap game against a 1-4 team?
