Charlie Sheen a Lawrence Taylor starter kit

I like LT. I admired his greatness and think he was the best player to ever step on a football field. The New York Giants will most likely never see a player quite like him ever again. We can hope... but I feel Giants fans were lucky have an LT play in New York.

LT was a part of a great defense and Two Super Bowl Championships. After a night of Boozing and Coke...He was always good to get two sacks and a fumble. I do not think LT ever missed a game... other than Suspension. Suspended for being a Wild Man.

A bold Charlie Sheen once was asked in an interview, "What do you think about Wild Man, Russell Crowe?" Sheen replied... "Amateur!" Would he say that about LT ? Now, could Charlie Sheen have admired LT too? Maybe not the same as die hard Giants fans? Lets look a little closer.

When Taylor was once asked what he could do that no outside linebacker could, his answer was, "Drink". Sounds like a Charlie Sheen answer.

LT claimed he hired and sent prostitutes to opponents' hotel rooms the night before a game in an attempt to tire them out and that at his peak, he spent thousands of dollars a day on narcotics. Sounds like Charlie Sheen.

He also recounted several other instances of aberrant behavior, including arriving to a team meeting during his playing career in handcuffs after spending a night with some call girls. Hey, sounds like Charlie Sheen.

Sounds like Charlie Sheen is an LT stater kit to me!

Anyway, Charlie is entering rehab again. I guess CBS will have to delay Two and a half men... He should try LT's rigid rehabilitation of golf.

Two Rounds of golf a day and call LT in the morning.

The Dallas Consolation Prize

Here we are a week before the Superbowl and that can mean only 1 thing right? (Enter the sound of crickets) Who else thinks of the Pro Bowl? Not this guy. Now - I personally don't like that the NFL has moved it to the week before the Superbowl.

For one thing - the 10 players on the Steelers and Packers can't participate. Why would the NFL not want the players from "arguably" the 2 best teams in Hawaii representing their product.

Mix in some injuries and you've got some non deserving players making the trip. For example - on Wednesday - the NFL added Dallas WR Miles Austin due to an injury by DeSean Jackson. Really? Miles Austin? I call bullshit...and here's why:

Rec Yds Yds/G TDs
Hakeem Nicks - Rec (79) Yds (1,052) Yds/G (80.9) TDs (11)
Miles Austin - Rec (69) Yds (1,041) Yds/G (65.1) TDs (7)
Mario Manningham - Rec (60) Yds(944) Yds/G (65.0) TDs (9)

Considering Hakeem Nicks missed a few games and might still be hurt - I would consider him Pro Bowl worthy. And if he is still hurt - doesn't he at least get the right to "not attend" due to injury? I'm just saying...

I added Manningham to the list because when I heard Miles Austin made the Pro Bowl - I immediately said, "That's bullshit - Hakeem Nicks had a better year than he did...hell - Mario Manningham had a better year than he did."

Turns out I wasn't too far off.

Congrats Dallas - there's your consolation prize.

Unrestricted Free Agent - MLB Paul Posluszny ?

This kid is 26 years old, 4th year MLB out of Penn State and an unrestricted free agent 2011. He is said to have an excellent football IQ and ability to shed blocks. Had 151 tackles, second to Jerod Mayo last year and in excellent company to be compared to Mayo.
Some of you may remember Mayo. He was the rookie of the year and one of my favorite draft pick options for the Giants back a few years ago. I digress...
This Posluszny, "Poz" as they call him in Buffalo has played for none other than Perry Fewell. Might be a nice fit. Posluszny may even like ole Perry Fewell. Bulloch is most likely gone and at 80 tackles, Goff is still developing.

"Hey Poz, come down and play for the real NY team. Play with the Big Boys in Big Blue."

Other Free Agent options:

MLB- Dhani Jones- Cincinnati Bengals- a re-tread yes, but he was a decent Giant.
MLB- Stephen Tulloch- Tennessee Titans- Tulloch put up 111 solos for Tennessee.

What do you think? Keep Goff at MLB....Free Agency...Draft? All I know is its that time of year to think about Free Agents and Draft picks.

Peeeeeterrrrr, hmmmmm, hmmmmmmm...you are on the draft clock. Pick Peter Pick...Pick Peter Pick...Pick Peter Pick
*******Update*******
January 24, 2011 at 12:00 PM CST- Peter has EXACTLY 49 DAYS to make his infamous pick.

mixed feelings

I don't how to feel about the superbowl in the back yard, every day and every event that gets radio/tv play pisses me off like crazy... Some are trying to wrangle me to the NFL experience on Thursday... and I know it probably would be interesting but I just dont want to go!!! Call me a hater but I just dont feel like seeing any steelers/pack fans all happy and shit... Where is my happiness? Fuck them both... I am giving serious thought to leaving next weekend to avoid all those smiling motherfuckers, all chest out, all sporting at least a 3rd of a chubby. I cant do it... The fucking pack... dont EVEN get me started on that shit... but they TCB'ed when they had to... The main point to this post is that this guy is VEXED... Zero joy... Especially when I see these fanuks sailing past on the good ship lollipop.. I wish I could lean over to my X.O. and order the flooding of tubes 1 and 2... fire!!!!! Shit.. I needed to vent. GO KNICKS

New York Giant Added to Pro Bowl

Defensive End Justin Tuck
Guard- Chris Snee
Safety and Loud Mouth Antrelle Rolle
And Late addition:
Long Snapper -Zak DeOssie

Not since the late 1920's has a Giant Long Snapper made a post season All Star appearance. That gentle (New York) Giant was none other than Jungle Drew!

Jungle Drew was a Defensive Lineman, Kicker, and Long Snapper. Inventer of the chop block and the long snap! Scoop Peterson said, "He was the Real Deal and Hard Boiled." Here he is in his patent Jungle Drew Snap Position:
"Listen see. He was lean and mean and everything in between. The bees knees! Speaking of knees, he was the inventor of the chop block! That's right! I said it here first kids...the chop block. Watch it! He may hit you below the bread basket with his patent jungle chop block! Ouch that smarts...see!"
-Scoop Peterson, 1920's radio announcer.
