Well, I'm still loving life after last weeks beatdown of the Eagles, but I guess its time to move on to week four. Giants vs Cardinals is set for this Sunday, October 1st.
I'm hoping the Giants come out fired up from last week and continue building that defense. Rumor has it there might be an Osi spotting. Either way, lets bring the pass rush all day if you ask me.
As usual, we’ll be at Buffalo Joe’s located in North Dallas. You’ll find the address listed at the bottom of this message. Last weeks turnout was fantastic. I think we can say with confidence that we have solidified this bar as a Giants bar.
Game time is Sunday, October 1st, at 3:00 p.m. CST.
Hope to see you all there. As you know, it’s always more fun watching Giants games with other Giants fans.

Props To Steve Weatherford
I know what you're thinking...props to a punter? Yes...and I'll tell you why. If you're not following Weatherford5 on twitter - you're missing out.
Not only does he tweet pictures and comments from the road...but he also has some legitimately funny stuff to say. Check out this one sent upon the team's arrival to Philadelphia last week:
"Just arrived in Philly. What a dump, Let's get a W and get the heck outta here."
How great is that? It's almost like he's a Giants fan that plays for the team! I mean - isn't that the kind of stuff we tell each other before the game starts?
And the @SuckItPhilly mentality didn't stop there. Before the game - he intentionally punted the ball into the Eagles' team huddle right before he went into the locker room.
I even saw a picture of him wearing a t-shirt that said, "Give me a scotch - I'm starving!"
If it were Jameson - I think I would have bought his jersey!

birds for dinner
As you all know.. BIGBLUE has ZERO love for bird teams.... and it looks like there's two in a row. While I fear and respect the sports jinx, I have to say that I fully expect to see our beloved GIANTS kick some bird ass for the next two Sundays. Since these teams aren't any great shakes, it's my belief that O$i should sit at least this week. Hell, Nicks too. Why risk it?..... I have nothing else to add cause its all sunshine and koolade after last weeks performance... so I will give a LETS-GO-YANKEES!!! to start my weekend off and see all you humps on Sunday for that BIGBLUE machine.... jmall
D-Foot on the pedal down to the metal
This never gets old: SUCK IT PHILLY! SUCK IT PHILLY! SUCK IT PHILLY!
Now back to business. It looks like we’re still fighting with injury front since both Nicks and Tuck were out of practice on Thursday. Nicks was due to swollen (right) knee that he had operation on while Tuck was pain in the neck, literally! Good news (WOW, really?!) is both Manningham and Osi were practicing on limited basis so hopefully both can play some this Sunday...
Lets face it: The football Gods hate us so be it - keep bringing it on football Gods!!!
The formula for Big Blue is simple:
- Keeping the D-foot on the pedal down to the metal along with keeping Ross' head straight
- Grinding out the ground game on offense to take opponent's attention off Cruz. Attention Killdrive: CREATIVITY like the play to Jacobs last week turning to TD. Amazingly, it worked huh? Lets try again each week. I triple dare you!!! Speaking of WR, Nicks needs to get back to the old Nicks.
That’s all Big P has to say this week. I must say that beating the crap out of vicks last week was very satisfying then hearing him crying about the refs was icing on the cake. It will be interesting to see how the refs call the sheagles games the rest of the season. They may just stop blowing the whistles all together when vicks goes back to pass and let the sack party goes on. I’m ok with that!
Go Big Blue!

Big Blue DFW Editorial
So Michael Vick whines and complains that the referees do not protect him. I am sorry, I thought that was the job of the Eagles offensive line. He squealed all post game.,the Giants hit me late... no flags were thrown.... everyone hits me late.... I am always on the ground.
Well, I for one thought it was disgusting to watch an NFL referee lend Vick an arm to help him up. Where were his teammates to scrape him off the field? Vick moaned all post game for us to find out he only bruised his non throwing hand! "We thought it was a fracture", according the Eagles. Speaking of we thought it was a fracture...
Romo! So he fractures a rib, and the next day someone claims had a punctured lung. Now this puncture is miraculously cured. Wow! Is this guy a comic book character with the ability to cure injured organs?
He even flew on a airplane that night after the game with the alleged punctured lung. Hmmm something deosn't sound right. Could he have flown if he really punctured his lung in a pressurized cabin? According to some doctors, it probably wasn't punctured in the game like the story tells.
Some talk was swirling around DFW that maybe it was punctured after getting treatment caused by a needle to inject him nicking his lung creating the minuscule puncture. Way to cover up your medical staff goof to add to the tale.
But nonetheless, it sounds like another cowboy tale to fuel a news story like the Emmett Smith dislocated shoulder. Their team doctors should write fantasy and fables for children of DFW to go along with their exaggerated prognosis.

Great Win For BIG BLUE !!!!
What a great win for BIG BLUE. I wasn't sure what to expect considering all the injuries we had going into that game but it was great to see Eli take the reins and play a pretty damn solid football game. It was also great to see Victor Cruz step up and play one hell of a game at a position we're hurting most at. And most of all that BIG BLUE D,Nice. I saw a picture in Tuesday's edition of USA Today with a picture of Vick showing Eli his boo boo on his hand after the game, what a little BITCH, it looked like he was about to cry, then he starts crying and whining to the media about the refs not throwing flags everytime he took a hit. I thought someone that murdered dogs would be a little tougher than that.
Like Drew's shirt said PHUCK PHILLY !
GO BIG BLUE !!!!

NFC Offensive Player of the Week - Eli Manning
Congratulations to Eli Manning for being honored with the NFC Offensive Player of the Week Award. Eli threw four touchdowns and most importantly zero interceptions in a victory over the hated Eagles.
Without a doubt, Eli deserves the recognition, however, we tend to expect Eli to throw 2-3 TDs and 250+ yards a game. We really need to congratulate Aaron Ross and Patterson Catholics own Victor Cruz on stepping up and making plays. Two is the number... Two picks for Ross and Two TDs for Cruz. Well done!
After the game, Cruz said,
"It means the world to me because a lot of people were saying our receivers were down and who would step up and I was happy to be that guy that stepped up to help my team."
Cruz did step it up and also mentioned he just was waiting for his time to help the team. He is seen left with Nicks giving the Eagles fans a little salsa TD celebration!
Suck it Philly! ..... Suck it Philly!

Giants need a balanced plan against the Eagles
A simple plan and stick to it. Back to what made New York Great...Blocking and tackling. Running the ball and great Defense. Protect the ball on Offense and hit Michael Vick every single chance they get.
I hear we need to run. I know we need to run. We definitely have the Running Backs... Will Gilbride stick to the run? We need two tight end sets and jam the ball up Philly's so called Dream Team ass.
Balance is needed. The Giants must not creep away from the run. Pass the ball, but do not live and die by the pass. Eli does not look like he trusts his receivers and at times looks as if he doesn't have enough time to throw the ball. Eli must keep the offense on the field. Nicks is going to have to stand on his head tomorrow and our tight ends need to get the ball up field.
On Defense... all eyes are on Aaron Ross and Corey Webster versus Maclin and Jackson. Aaron Ross needs to be the man tomorrow on Defense and on Special Teams. He needs to have short term memory of being benched last week and play like a first round draft pick.
Greg Jones needs to keep improving and go after the ball. He needs to lead the Defense and communicate with the Defense. No mistakes... Not against Philly. This game is a crucial divisional game. It is a great game for Jones to stand out. We need an unknown player to step up in light of a injured team.
Former New York Giants Great Carl Banks said, "Eagles fans have to look at this as a cake walk" "If the Eagles struggle or lose to the Giants, there will be major concern for the Eagles and watch the fans turn"
The Giants need to smack the Eagles in the mouth and jump on them quick. St. Louis hit Vick, Atlanta hit Vick... The Giants Defense needs to hit and hit AND HIT Vick!
Dick Lynch Remembered Today By Big Blue DFW
You may or may not know, he was the color analyst for the New York Giants' radio broadcasts from 1967 to 2008. He was called by Neil Best, the Giants Phil Rizutto. He was known for awarding a player a Nat Sherman Cigar for a great play. Something Bob Papa still does on air. Dick always read out Birthdays on the air for Giants fans.
He was a great guy to meet. He loved talking Giants Football. He even offered Bob and me tickets to a game in Dallas because he was so excited to hear we would travel from Dallas to New York, Washington DC, and Houston to attend Giants games. He went so far as to even give us his home address. From that day on, every time he saw us... he took time to chat.
Salt of the Earth guy who lived for fans and for the Giants. A true Embassador for the New York Giants.
No Love?.........Perfect!
If you listen to any of the national sports talk radio in recent days - you would probably hear the Giants shouldn't even show up on Sunday. (For that matter - if you listen to local sports talk radio - the next coming has a broken rib and a miraculously healed - yet in my opinion a made up punctured lung - but I digress.)
No matter what you're listening to - it's all negative. The injuries (real or fake), the secondary, the inexperienced linebackers, no O$i, a O-line that hasn't gelled yet. It's all negative.
You know what? I love it.
Count us out! Do it! Look at the past...you predict us to go 6-10 in one of your fancy preseason polls? Perfect. That usually means we'll win the division. Seriously - who else was upset that all of ESPN's Monday night pregame team picked the Giants? I know I was.
The last I checked - the Giants and Philadelphia have the same record. Think about that...we have the same record as the "Dream Team" people! (hopefully you can sense my sarcasm - I'm laying it on pretty thick).
And I know it's only week 3 but it's time for the Giants to send a message. A revengeful message? Perhaps...but I'm thinking of an old school New York Giants game. A tactful revenge game where we run the ball straight up the liberty bell's ass. I'm thinking of a 1990 Bill Parcell's team that would run the ball and control the play clock designed to wear out a defense. See - all I've heard this week is that Philly is too fast for the Giants. While that may be true - my solution - keep their offense off the field.
Speed can't beat you if you're sitting on the bench.

Giants vs Eagles - FILTHadelphia here we come
Week three is here and it’s already time for a showdown with a bitter rival. Come on out this Sunday, September 25th, and watch the New York Giants take on the FILTHadelphia Eagles.
Will this be the game that ignites the momentum needed to make everybody change their minds about Big Blue? Will Big Blue make Michael Vick regret not resting up this week? Will we see a return of the run game? I guess we’ll find out this Sunday.
As usual, we’ll be at Buffalo Joe’s located in North Dallas. You’ll find the address listed at the bottom of this message. Thank you to all of you for getting the word out about the new location. We’ve had two SOLID turnouts including 50+ for a Monday night game. That’s fantastic! I can’t wait to see how many come out representing Big Blue on Sunday.
Game time is Sunday, September 25th, at 12:00 p.m. CST. I would strongly encourage everyone to get there early because it gets busy with other fans for Sunday afternoon games. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m.
Hope to see you all there. As you know, it’s always more fun watching Giants games with other Giants fans.

That's one down
So the "w" barrier has been perforated and officially the GIANTS are in this race... it seems to me that the dropping of the passes right in the hands is just gonna haunt this team again this season. One thing I really hope is that these teams don't use the no- huddle approach to attack the defense. As the Rams showed ALL of America "MNF" is that BIG BLUE D's optimal effectiveness relies heavily on the substitutions of the D linemen... so this guy's gonna be worried about this business all season.... Next, as for the eagles... I'm very disappointed in the fact that vick probably will not play on Sunday.... I really want to see BIGBLUE T.C.B. that sucka... Any ways... that's all I got this week, not a whole lot to ramble on about... But as GIANTS fans we all know this fact..... one can't just simply watch the GMEN with any kind of ease... there's always an underlying uneasiness that manifests itself most subtlety through out those 60mins that we all covet all week... And as a result, the losses hurt like the passing of a first pet, and the victories, well the victories, they make us all have that walking on sunshine feeling till the next game we all assume the clinched ass cheek positions... As for this fan, I don't mind it so much.... so LETS-GO-GIANTS!!!!!! And there better be a little SUCK-IT-PHILLY!!! chants out of our BIGBLUEDFW crew

Highlights of week 2 win vs. Rams

In addition to our own group's highlights of last night Big Blue win vs. Rams (28-16): the significant size 50+ crowd, THE mask (NO, you can't make me wear it!!), the high-fives merry around several times, the carrot catch (I'll leave the name out bcuz she knows who she is :)), the hugs from the pretty G-Men fans (easy Drew, not you :D), etc...
We do have some good game highlights. I vote for Hixon's circus catch. It's attached for your pleasure. Unfortunately, he twisted his ACL-reconstructed right knee and calf, hopefully nothing major so he can come back soon. We REALLY need him. Ditto to Manningham due to concussion.
Bring on those smucks sheagles and the b**toch Steve Smith (Note to Diana: I DO NOT want to see you cheering for that douche!!!).
Go Big Blue!!!
Big Thank You
This post goes out as a big thank you to all that showed up tonight for the Monday night game against the Rams. It's also a thanks to the bar staff and the owner who worked hard to make sure we were taken care of, especially Meghan and her Giants shirt. I'm still impressed by the dedication and turnout we get for games, even on a Monday night game. We had over 50 in attendance tonight when most of you could have easily stayed home and watched the game. What really gets me fired up is that we know almost every single one of you on a first name basis. That's the great thing about this NY Giants fan base, it's like a family. We all cheer together, we all laugh together, and as expected, we all make fun of each together. That's the difference between our fan base and the others I see around Dallas. If you haven't had a chance to come out yet, please come out next weekend. It's a division rival game against the Giants arch nemisis, the eagles (I'm not capitalizing). I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

Big Blue DFW Getting Local and International Attention
Because of the loyal and growing following the New York Giants have in Dallas, Big Blue DFW and Buffalo Joe's of Addison TX get a mention from the website Thrillist. Together we make their list of NOT-Cowboy Bars! Say it again... NOT! Cowboys Bars! Thank you Thrillist from the Big Blue DFW.
Check it out here:
Thrillist.com Link
On a lighter side of www.bigbluedfw.com : It shocks me to see how many hits we get internationally. Are they lost or Giants fans. Maybe it's the irreverent rants of Dirty Bob and Jmall or the Atari retro look we bring to the Blog that attract our hits from abroad.
Nonetheless, this past year we had an oddly strong Netherlands following, but we now have a new all time international leader. Russia has the most international views. Pushing strong for the top spot is Germany. I think we could be the David Hasselhoff of Blogs if the rest of Germany logged on and read our take of the NY Giants. Top three international viewers:
Russia
Netherlands
Germany
In closing, we cannot say it enough... Big Blue DFW shows up! Whether on TV or not show up at Buffalo Joe's in support of our New York Football Giants for Monday Night. You can't beat the energy and the excitement of the crowd! Wear Giants Blue and be Loud! Drown out everyone watching another team. See you Monday and Go Big Blue!

Giants vs Rams - More like Goats if you ask me
Week one of the 2011 football season didn’t start off as we all had hoped, but that’s not going to stop me from believing this New York Giants team has potential. Week two is here so come on out Monday night, September 19th, and watch the New York Giants take on the St. Louis Rams. Yes, they have the Giants former defensive guru, Steve Spagnuolo, but he doesn’t have the Giants pass rushers.
Will Justin Tuck play? Will JPP put Sam Bradford on the ground? Will the offensive line hold up and make some room for the running backs? Will the defensive backs actually stop making QBs have career best days? Let’s hope so, but there is only one way to find out. You have to watch the game with the rest of the New York Giants fans in Dallas.
As most of you know, BigBlueDFW is now at Buffalo Joe’s located in North Dallas. You’ll find the address listed at the bottom of this message. Thank you to all of you for getting the word out about the new location. We had a fantastic turnout for week one and I know our group size impressed a lot of people. The owner mentioned that he was short on servers before the game, but hired 4 that day because they saw how great the Giants fans were. I’m not kidding. Thanks to all of you for making it a great game day even though the final result wasn’t what we hoped for. Please continue passing the word around to any Giants fans you know.
Game time is Monday, September 19th, at 7:30 pm CST.
I’ve told the owner we still show up for Monday night games, because as you all know, it’s more fun watching Giants games with other Giants fans. Hope to see you all there.

Week 1 Therapy Session
Like most of us do after a loss - we hang around after the game and have a little therapy session. To me - losing is miserable and everyone knows that misery loves company. To me - any time I can share my frustration and disappointment with fellow Giants fans...it actually helps. So when I asked the question, "Can you name something good that happened today?" There was an uncomfortable silence.
How bad is that?
The only thing I could think of was Steve Weatherford. He didn't get a punt blocked and he didn't shank one 15 yards. Wow - the only shining light on the day was our punter? Now - given the punting situation last year - the bar has been set pretty damn low...but our punter? I guess you could throw JPP in there too...he had a pretty solid game filling in for O$i.
And I don't want to use injuries as an excuse so you won't hear it here. Injuries happen and there's nothing you can do about it. Bottom line is this team - as banged up as they are - should still be better than the Redskins. I mean - we made Rex Grossman look like a Pro Bowler.
-The offense seems predictable...again.
-Bradshaw running between the tackles and Jacobs around the corners...really?
-What about using our 264 lbs RB on 4th & 1. Why not use him as a decoy for a play action to the TE? Wouldn't that be something?
-The defense is just soft. And describing them as soft is about the biggest insult I could express.
-The guy that buzzes down for challenges should be fired. Hell - he should have been fired a couple years ago.
I guess it just feels like we lost to Arizona when they were in the NFC East. Even in some of the lean years - you could always count on 2 W's from Arizona. I guess the Redskins have become such an afterthought lately - that even I took them lightly. I can only imagine the players did too.

I guess it just feels like we lost to Arizona when they were in the NFC East. Even in some of the lean years - you could always count on 2 W's from Arizona. I guess the Redskins have become such an afterthought lately - that even I took them lightly. I can only imagine the players did too.
week 1
So I did have to wait a couple of days after a GIANTS win/loss.. before I post... First of all... it was an awesome representation of the bigbluedfw crew.. it always warms my heart to see all the faithful showing up with all the enthusiasm and genuine bravado one expects from an East coaster.... lets hope that we continue this trend... As for the game..... well I believe that until bigblue gets healthy on D, we pretty much will have to get lucky in the first couple of weeks... As you all know the fuel for our beloved GIANTS starts with the D, and that starts with JT.. then the O can get into the mix.... I will have to say I was disappointed with the O unit... when the D- is hurting, and your playing the F-ing redskins, you just have to step that shit up... One thing that always holds true as it relates to the NFL is... If you're gonna make the play offs, you HAVE to beat the teams that you're supposed to beat, its just that simple... Now while I didn't expect to go undefeated this season, I also didn't expect to lose the these chumps, the same holds true for Ari, Sea, Buff, the 49er's, and the Dolphins.... In the past I've been known to get all pissed off at the fact that the media doesn't show any love... but I'm beginning to understand a little... performances like that one on Sunday makes bigblue look like bush league... That being said, the silver lining to this business is that: its easier to fix the shit at the start of the trip than it is towards the end... I love my GIANTS weather there's one win or there's 11 wins.... I can't wait to see the crew on Monday night so hopefully we can pop this 2011 season cherry... and call her back every Sunday for a little tickle and nibble..
Peace..... Jmall

It's About Time Somebody Said It
I think most of us were willing to forgive Plaxico for his stupidity, and the extra drama, if there was a chance that he might rejoin the Giants and see if there was still some magic left in the hat. As always, Senor Marble Mouth, decided he'd rather take shots at his former team and coach than move on and talk about how he's looking forward to his future, and not the past.
Dan Graziano did a great job and put it best in his blog posting on the ESPN NFC East blog.

Plax, on behalf of all of us, move on............We have.

Well It's Finally Here!!!
We’ve waited 253 days for it. The 2011 football season has finally arrived. Come on out on September 11th and watch the New York Giants start the season against their divisional rivals, the Washington Redskins. The Giants finished the 2010 season against the Redskins and now they’re going to open up the 2011 season against these chumps.
Don’t let the injuries and all the doubters have you believing anything less than what we already know. These Giants have something to prove to everybody. Come see it for yourself.
As most of you know, BigBlueDFW has relocated to a new location due to Cape Buffalo closing its doors this summer. We can now be found yelling and screaming at Buffalo Joe’s located in North Dallas. You’ll find the address listed at the bottom of this message. We’ve done our best to get the word out about the new location. Please help us but passing the word to any New York Giants fans you know. Let them know that we’ve moved and how to find us. We’ve told the owner at Buffalo Joe’s that we show up strong. Please show your support on opening day by joining the rest of us and showing them how strong our fan base really is.
So come out and watch the New York Giants open up the season at 3:00pm on Sunday, September 11th. Is there a better way to start off the season, and share the 10 year anniversary of the September 11th tragedies, than by standing with a bunch of ROWDY, PROUD, NEVER GOING TO GIVE UP, TRUE FANS that represent the greatest fan base in all of sports……
The Fans of the NEW YORK GIANTS!!!
I hope to see all of you out at Buffalo Joe’s on Sunday. Cause there’s no better to way to watch Giants games than with your fellow Giants family.

A Bold Prediction?
Earlier today, Peter Schrager with FoxSports released his 20 Bold Predictions for 2011. Prediction number 11 included:
"11. With their playoff lives on the line in Week 17, the Giants squeak out a victory over the Cowboys in a blizzard: Yes, I’m now predicting the weather, too! This, of course, comes just one week after the Giants eliminate the Jets from playoff contention with a “road” win in their shared building in Week 16. Tom Coughlin’s job is saved."
Also interesting, he had the Giants and Cowboys rounding out the wildcard playoff spots. He predicts both will finish with a 10-6 record. It'll be interesting to see how accurate this will beat the end of the season.
